    Hi Jody,
I’m so glad I’ve found your podcast and look forward to Fridays for an uplifting listen. I’m having a hard time with this episode, however.
What I hear you saying is we shouldn’t rely on anyone for fulfilling our wants or needs. In that case, why does it matter if we try to love, help, be kind, do/say nice things for others. For example, if it doesn’t matter if our spouse says/does anything for us because we should feel good about ourselves regardless, then what’s the point in complimenting, thanking, working hard, being kind, giving/doing things that naturally make our spouse a little happier, etc? Aren’t we here to love and serve others through our thoughts, words, and deeds?
And yes, I have listened to your episode “Why Try.” 🙂
I want to give the opportunity for others to feel happy and I hope they would like to do the same in return.
